AIA Middle East plans to organize a series of events including project tours, lectures by regional and international architects and professionals in the construction industry, film series, and panel discussions of relevant issues. These events will create a forum for the exchange of ideas and networking among industry professionals. For AIA members, these events will be recognized by AIA for continued education points.

AIA ME Talk presents EDGE Design.

This year is no exception, as we will be kicking off our AIA ME Talk series program entitled, "AIA ME Talks" on March 6, 2019.

In these AIA ME TALKS, master architects, designers, innovation leaders, research experts, product developers and business leaders, share their vision, inspiration and take part in bold conversations about redefining what it means to be an architect in this day and age.

Ivar will discuss building physics principles, focusing on direct solar heat gain. What is the role of glass in this equation? Is it possible to maximize views while maximizing sustainability?

Ivar will also discuss the value of silence. In a world of unceasing visual noise, serenity should command a premium. Despite this, the knee-jerk reaction of most people when hearing the word "luxury" is the expectation of a cacophony of eclectic trims and finishes, topped off with a colorful mix of trinkets. Is it possible to create a sense of luxury while doing away with ostentatious details?
