Emerging Architect Award
An opportunity for emerging architects to gain international recognition.
AIA Middle East is pleased to support the inaugural AIA International Emerging Architect Award, a new annual award recognising emerging professionals who are making a meaningful contribution to architecture through design, leadership, professional engagement, and service.
The award offers an opportunity for architects at the beginning of their careers to have their work and professional contributions recognised within the wider AIA International community.
Open to architecture school graduates within their first 10 years of professional experience, the award does not require applicants to be licensed architects. This makes the programme accessible to emerging professionals contributing to architectural practice in a wide range of roles and international contexts.
Applicants will be invited to submit reference letters and portfolio material demonstrating their leadership, design contributions, public service, and professional impact. Submissions should communicate how their work and engagement are contributing to the advancement of the profession and the values of AIA International.
Submissions Open: July 21, 2026
Submission Deadline: October 5, 2026
Award Announcement: November 2026
The recipient will be selected by a jury of AIA leaders representing AIA International Chapters and will receive formal recognition and a certificate from AIA International.
The award is being led by Jason Holland, AIA, and Li Ren, AIA, both members of the AIA Middle East community.
